"a Trojan horse, carrying visceral commentary on power"

OUTLAW POP ARTIST - FOUNDER, OF AUSTRALIAN GOTHIC™â€‹

Bryton Gore is a Dark Australian artist defining the boundaries of Australian Gothic and Outlaw Pop; a genre she uses to expose romanticism, violence, class tension, and survival. Her deceptively playful, lo-fi horror imagery lures viewers with humor and bright colour, then cuts with precision.

She is the artist who keeps smiling while opening the wound.
Her work doesn’t ask permission, it occupies space unapologetically.

Gore’s practice operates as a calculated ambush. What first appears pop, humorous, or even harmless slowly reveals itself as something far sharper. Bright colour and humor function as a Trojan horse, carrying visceral commentary on power, harm, and endurance directly into the viewer’s hands.

Both accessible and confrontational, her work is “pop” in its immediacy and “outlaw” in its refusal to soothe, explain, or conform. Bryton Gore’s art does not seek comfort or consensus. It exists like a traumatic memory, persistent, unresolved, and impossible to ignore.
